How to Microneedle Like a Pro
Ready to Roll? Here’s Your Guide to Microneedling at Home
So, you’ve joined the Bowie tribe (hi, welcome) and you’re ready to roll your way to glowing, rejuvenated skin. Whether you’re a skincare enthusiast or you’re just dipping your toes into the world of at-home treatments, microneedling is here to give your skin the boost it deserves.
Let’s dive into how you can make the most of your new Bowie Microneedling Tool... step-by-step.
Step 1: Prep Your Skin
Before you start, make sure your skin (and your microneedling tool) are both clean. Think of this step as warming up before a workout! You’ll want to start with a fresh, dry face, ready for action.
Step 2: Let’s Roll!
With your Bowie microneedle in hand, start rolling across your face in all directions - horizontal, vertical and diagonal. Roll gently in small sections to ensure every area gets some love.
Pro tip - let the needles do the work and lean into the pressure as you grow more confident with your microneedling.
Step 3: Time to Absorb
Now that your skin has been activated, it’s ready to soak up some goodness. Apply your Bowie Chill Serum (or your favourite hydrating products for maximum absorption). Microneedling primes your skin to drink up all the goodness, so indulge in it.
Pro tip – Avoid using products that contain retinoids, Vitamin C and alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) in the 24 hours after rolling. Keep your actives for alternate evenings.
Step 4: Clean Your Tool
Once you’re done, spray your microneedle head with BOWIE’s Microneedle Cleaning Spray. Pop the protective cap back on and/or store it in a clean case to keep it safe and ready for your next roll.
Step 5: Replace the Head
After about 20 uses, it’s time to swap in a new microneedling head. Fresh needles mean sharper, more effective results, so your skin always gets the best treatment. Keeping your tools fresh is key to maintaining a healthy, glowing complexion.
